Pet Helpers Port Townsend serves our community (Jefferson County, Washington State) by providing funds for veterinary care for pets of homeless and underfunded people who meet specific criteria*. Pet Helpers Port Townsend pays approved veterinarians directly for approved appointments. Pet Helpers Port Townsend is a WA State recognized 501C3 nonprofit (as of 11/2022). Our tax year is from January 1st to December 31st

Since our founding in 2021 we have served well over a thousand pets with all kinds of veterinary needs from acute illness, injuries, intestinal blockages, abscesses, skin conditions, allergies, dental cleaning and extractions, vaccinations, spays and neuters, and so much more.

CRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE OF CLIENT

  • name, phone number, and address of residence
  • monthly income from all sources minus monthy costs of rent, insurance, phone, student loans, and ongoing medical must not exceed $500 per month per person in household
  • Currently we have a cap of $1000 per client per case.
  • Pet has been or will be vaccinated and spayed/neutered.
